Progressive Movement Practice (PMP)

PMP Classes

PMP is an evolving movement practice. The main aim is to foster enjoyment and awareness in movement, whether movement is practised in lying, sitting or standing.

PMP Classes are classes which I have developed over the years and are a study and exploration of movement inspired by AT, Dart Procedures and dance, with classic exercise training underpinning my practice.

Come and experience for yourself!

Comments from my PMP Class Participants

“Thank you for the video and for our current sessions. Whilst our hour together is most relaxing and therapeutic, there is a definite sense of having “ exercised “ various parts of the body.”

“It was lovely last week when we were all on gallery view at the end of the class. Thank you.
I really benefit ( physically and mentally) from this activity.”

“I have been enjoying Victoria’s PMP classes for a number of years now , and there are many reasons why I have stayed with her. Not only is each session quite unique (even though they often follow a familiar pattern of movements), but I feel as though I am constantly being encouraged to learn new things about the way my body moves and functions.

Whilst the movements (either seated, or lying down , or using a chair to aid balance) are not at all strenuous or difficult, by the end of the session, it’s as though I’ve experienced a real “ workout” and I feel refreshingly “tired” and well- exercised.

Victoria is particularly good at clearly demonstrating and explaining each movement, which makes it easy to follow and there is no sense of “ am I doing this properly”? I find it particularity helpful that she will focus on the individual and suggest ways to refine or improve what we are doing, so we get the maximum benefit from each move. Her observant and encouraging approach have been particularly helpful during our online classes.

There is a relaxed and comfortable feel to our sessions . Victoria has a lovely sense of humour and a real talent for descriptive language, to the extent that I find her classes emotionally, as well as physically therapeutic. “
